From humble roots, cooking as a teenager in Mexico, Chef Izzy (Israel Rodriguez) comes to the Jumpin’ Jupiter heavily armed with creative ideas, delectable offerings, and the freshest ingredients in town.

A rock star among culinary professionals, Chef Izzy’s determination, prayers, and undying passion for the culinary arts brought him to St. Louis to pursue his dreams and perfect his craft. His quest for preparing the finest and most delectable dishes eventually landed him at Sleek Steakhouse, where he learned and worked under master chefs Hubert Keller and Laurent Pillar. Other world class chefs and 20 years of experience have helped Chef Izzy hone his culinary craft and prepare him for his next opportunity. Mexican, Italian, Asian, French, and Contemporary American cuisine are hallmarks of Chef Izzy’s expertise.

He looks to this new endeavor at the Jumpin’ Jupiter with excitement and a sense of challenge.  The new venue will allow the celebrated chef to express himself and create dishes that are at once playful, extravagant, seductive, and always delicious. “My passion for food evolves every day,” Chef Izzy says, “trying to create using only the finest ingredients.”  Ready to guide Jumpin’ Jupiter’s discerning audience through a gustatory journey, he is certain his guests will leave satisfied and well fed.
